Fixed Target Resolver

The Fixed Target Resolver is used to select an object from a catalog and add it as a new APT Fixed Target.

To open the Fixed Target Resolver, click Targets in the APT Hierarchical Editor, then click the Fixed Target Resolver button.

Select one or more databases to search, then select a search method. There are three search methods:

  • By Name - Search by name or other identifier for the object.
  • Near Name - Search for all the objects within a radius of the named object.
  • Near Position - Search for all the objects within a radius of the specified RA/Dec.

To create a new APT Fixed Target, select an object from the search results, then click the Select Object as Target button.
