CaSSI

This article describes the Calibration and Supplemental Search Interface (CaSSI) in the Roman Space Telescope data archive.

CaSSI

The Calibration and Supplemental Search Interface (CaSSI) provides several user interfaces for retrieving specific categories of Roman data. These categories include:

  • The Roman Integration and Test Archive (RITA), which stores ground-based test data from the Wide Field Instrument (WFI) and Coronagraph technology demonstration
  • Supplemental and telemetry data files, which store mission operations data
  • Calibration reference files, which include select calibration reference files that are not otherwise available via the Calibration Reference Data System (CRDS).

Both RITA and the supplemental and telemetry data files categories are restricted to authorized users only. Authorized users will be able to perform queries and download data through the CaSSI download API or through the CaSSI interface. Unrestricted access to calibration reference files is also provided via CaSSI, though most calibration reference files will be stored in CRDS and not accessible from CaSSI. Additional information on CaSSI, its Application Program Interface (API), and its role in different missions is available in the MAST documentation.

Access to the RITA and the Supplemental and Telemetry Data Files interfaces is restricted to authorized user accounts, typically reserved for select mission partners as needed. If you believe that you require access to either RITA or the Supplemental and Telemetry Data Files interfaces, please contact the Roman Help Desk for assistance.

The Table of CaSSI Content gives a detailed description of the data that is currently available or planned to be available through CaSSI:

1 Calibrated engineering data may be retrieved from the Calibrated Engineering Database (referred to as either the CalEngDB or EDB). Database access is unrestricted, while access to the files in CaSSI is restricted to authorized users.

CaSSI User Interface

Users can access the CaSSI archive user interface. The interface has a dynamic layout which allows the access to the different categories of Roman data described above. The top menu, called "Data Group," allows users to select the type of data to explore. We show two examples of the interface which are only accessible to authorized users: the "Supplemental & Telemetry Data Files" (see The User Interface: Supplemental and Telemetry Data Files figure) and the RITA (see The User Interface: Roman Integration and Test Data figure).

The User Interface: Supplemental and Telemetry Data Files

Various types of housekeeping and telemetry data are accessible through the CaSSI interface.

The User Interface: Roman Integration and Test Data

CaSSI allows users to access the RITA archive which contains all the files acquired during the thermal-vacuum campaigns.
